What We Heard
Lifting Futures met with aerospace, education, and workforce leaders across the Dallas-Fort Worth region to identify industry needs. Three themes emerged that helped define the focus:
- Needed training capacity for aerospace manufacturing programs.
- Low student recruitment and career awareness to grow the talent pipeline.
- Limited coordination between education and industry.

To expand Aviation Maintenance Technician labs for additional student capacity each semester.

To expand training capacity across four advanced manufacturing programs by hiring additional instructors.

To support the Manufacturing Institute’s Heroes MAKE America initiative, helping veterans transition to civilian careers and translate their experience into skills and credentials that manufacturers recognize.
